摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum assembly for a laundry machine which has a greater internal capacity and is improved in stiffness and strength, and to provide a method for manufacturing the assembly.SOLUTION: This drum assembly comprises a drum to contain laundry inside, a connector mounted on the outer bottom surface of the drum, and a drive means connected with the connector to rotate the drum, wherein the bottom surface includes, without occupied by the connector, an expansion area projecting outward to increase the drum's internal capacity. The method for manufacturing the assembly includes a first pressing step in which a plate forming the bottom of the drum is pressed to ensure enough space for the expansion of the drum's internal capacity, and a second pressing step in which a seat part is formed to mount the connector that connects the drive means and the drum.
