    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional enamel composition which exhibits antibacterial, deodorizing and water purifying actions by the emission of negative ions and simultaneous radiation of far-infrared rays and in which these actions are enhanced by a photocatalytic material.
      SOLUTION: The multifunctional enamel composition is a mixture obtained by adding (1) a mixture of natural mineral powders containing rare elements, (2) a mixture containing the mixture and either one of a tourmaline powder and a far-infrared ray-emitting ceramic powder, (3) a mixture obtained by blending the natural mineral powders containing rare elements and a material having photocatalytic functions, or (4) a mixture obtained by blending the natural mineral powders and either one of the tourmaline powder or the far-infrared ray-emitting ceramic powder, and a material having photocatalytic functions, to an enamel material and blending them.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass composition by which glass is made homogeneous and a method of producing a glass article by which the production condition is established, the compositional homogeneity of produced glass is accurately evaluated and the occurrence of needless coloring on a glass product is prevented.
      SOLUTION: The glass composition is an inorganic glass composition wherein the volume ratio of helium with a mass number of 3 to helium with a mass number of 4, namely
      3 He/
      4 He in the helium contained in the glass (at 0°C, at 1 atm) is smaller than the volume ratio
      3 He/
      4 He in the atmosphere. The method for producing the glass article comprises a step for melting a glass raw material by heating, a step for homogenizing the molten glass, a step for forming the molten glass into a desired shape and a step for cooling the shaped glass to room temperature, wherein helium with a certain mass ratio is contained in the glass material so that a desired glass article is obtained.
