    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compatibility between collective ejection of a plurality of media with different lengths in a state of large capacity and aligned ejection side tips, and stable incorporating of a medium inserted from a device exterior, in a medium ejecting mechanism.SOLUTION: The medium ejecting mechanism includes a first endless belt disposed in a lower side of the medium, a first driving pulley and driven pulley moving the first endless belt, a lower part conveying mechanism installed between the first driving pulley and driven pulley and having a second driven pulley generating tension larger than tension of the first endless belt, a second endless belt disposed in an upper side of the medium, an upper part conveying mechanism having a driving pulley and a driven pulley moving the second endless belt, a driving part moving a link mechanism supporting the second driven pulley, and a control part controlling the driving part so as to move the link mechanism in a direction abutting the first endless belt on the second endless belt when conveying the medium to a conveying passage formed by the first endless belt and the second endless belt.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately reduce the speed of a sheet to be conveyed in a sheet conveying device.
      SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device includes a high-speed conveyor 61 capable of conveying signatures S at a high speed, a low-speed conveyor 62 capable of receiving the signatures S to be conveyed by the high-speed conveyor 61 and conveying them at a lower speed than that of the high-speed conveyor 61, a first holding member 63 for holding fore ends of the signatures S transferred from the high-speed conveyor 61 to the low-speed conveyor 62, a second holding member 64 which is located at the upstream side in the conveying direction of the signatures S from the first holding member 63 to hold rear ends of the signatures S transferred from the high-speed conveyor 61 to the low-speed conveyor 62, and a timing adjusting means 65 for adjusting the holding timing of the signatures S by the first holding member 63.
