    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane type low-temperature rock reservoir capable of eliminating adverse effects caused by reception of ground-water pressure from surrounding rocks and by freezing and expansion of surrounding rocks, and a construction method for the low-temperature rock reservoir.
      SOLUTION: In the membrane type low-temperature rock reservoir, sprayed concrete (primary sprayed concrete 2, secondary sprayed concrete 3), skeleton concrete 4, a heat insulating material 5 and a membrane material 6 is formed on the surface of a cavity 1 excavated inside a rock, and the inner space of the lining is used for the reservoir for storing low-temperature fluid. A drainage pipe line network 7 for collecting ground water from surrounding rocks and discharge it is embedded in the sprayed concrete. A warming pipe line network 8 for maintaining the temperature of the skeleton concrete 4 and its outer side at freezing temperature or higher by circulating warming media such as warm water and brine is embedded in the skeleton concrete 4. The warming pipe line network 8 is embedded in the outer peripheral part of the skeleton concrete 4 to warm only the outer peripheral part, and the inner peripheral part of the skeleton concrete 4 is freezed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent approach of freezing area to be formed around a reservoir nearly close to a surface of the ground.
      SOLUTION: This underground low-temperature tank facility has a structure that a cavity excavated underground is used as the reservoir 1 to store a low-temperature fluid and that air-tightness and liquid-tightness of the reservoir are secured by the freezing area formed around the reservoir. A water-sealing boring 4 is provided underground over the reservoir, and water is circulated inside the water-sealing boring to maintain temperature of the peripheral ground at the freezing temperature or more to hinder enlargement of the freezing area at that position. In the case of storing liquefied gas as a low-temperature fluid in the reservoir, warm wasted heat generated when liquefying the evaporated gas from the liquefied gas again in a ground surface part to heat the water circulating inside the water sealing boring.
