    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid traveling shearing machine, along with a method of controlling the same, capable of preventing an overload on a motor.SOLUTION: The hybrid traveling shearing machine includes: a first driving source 50 for accelerating and decelerating shearing blades 10 and 20; a second driving source 60 for transferring a shearing force to the shearing blades 10 and 20; a first controller 52 for controlling the first driving source 50 to be accelerated to a shearing speed, to freely run after the shearing speed synchronization, and to be decelerated after shearing; and a second controller 62 lower in control responsiveness, controlling a second driving source to be synchronized with the shearing speed. A speed control is not made even if a speed is changed in connecting a clutch 63, or even if the speed is lowered through the shearing, so that the overload on the first driving source 50 is prevented. A rapid acceleration is not made so as to synchronize with the shearing speed even if the speed is lowered through shearing, thereby the overload on the second driving source 60 is prevented.
