    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bi-directional remote education system in which a lecture can be given without being disturbed by noises even when the number of learner classrooms increases and a teacher can fully respond to an utterer and the increase in the cost of a communication band and an information processing device can be restrained. SOLUTION: In the remote education system, a communication satellite and a ground network link a transmission center and a plurality of learner classrooms. When a learner makes utterance, the learner's talk request is transmitted to the transmission center and a program director selects a learner classroom to be allowed to make utterance, then the transmission center transmits a calling instruction to the learner classroom via the communication satellite and the learner classroom which receives the calling instruction transmits picture information of the learner to the transmission center via the ground network.
