    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a tuning frequency while adjusting an oscillation frequency without muting output.SOLUTION: A tuning circuit comprises a pair of inductors 12, 14 and a variable capacitance part 30 for tuning. A tuning frequency is adjusted by changing capacitance of the variable capacitance part 30 for tuning, and a band-limited tuning signal is obtained from a received signal. The tuning circuit further comprises an oscillation inductor 36, a variable capacitance part 38 for oscillation, and a control part 32. The oscillation inductor 36 causes a current corresponding to the tuning signal to flow. The variable capacitance part 38 for oscillation adjusts an oscillation frequency of a system including the oscillation inductor 36. In the control part 32, while changing the capacitance of the variable capacitance part 38 for oscillation in accordance with a desired tuning frequency, the oscillation frequency is adjusted to capacitance corresponding to the desired tuning frequency, and the capacitance of the variable capacitance part for tuning is adjusted in accordance with the adjusted capacitance of the variable capacitance part 38 for oscillation.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily tune to another receiving band without performing tracking again when switching from one receiving band to the relevant other receiving band.
      SOLUTION: As for FM radio band, a tuning point is tracked while switching capacitors C1-Cm and a capacitor at the time when the tuning point is obtained, is specified. Whereas for weather band, a variation degree of capacitance values is obtained from a logic value of tuning capacitance and a capacitance value of the capacitor specified by tracking, and switches SW1-SWm are controlled so as to select a capacitor of the capacitance value having a difference approximately equal to the variation degree with respect to the logic value of tuning capacitance of the weather band. Thus, tuning in the weather band is performed by capacitor selection based on the variation degree determined by tracking on the FM radio band, so that it is not necessary to perform tracking again in the weather band.
