    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting/lowering device for a heat treatment furnace capable of being applied without causing a problems even if the height of a ceiling is low, or even if an upper furnace shell is necessary to be horizontally displaced.
      SOLUTION: An upper frame 410A supported by a first cross beam 303 and a lower frame 410B for mounting a lower furnace shell 112 of a rotary retort furnace 1 are connected via an X-link type link mechanism 4. The X-link 41 is elongated and contracted by an elongation/contraction drive means 43 between the both frames 410A, 410B for lifting/lowering the upper furnace shell 111 of the rotary retort furnace 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indirect heating kiln, lowering the manufacturing cost of a kiln by reducing an outer peripheral portion unenclosed by a heating chamber at both ends of a rotary drum constituting the kiln to a size smaller than before, and performing inching when the continuous rotation of the kiln is temporarily stopped.
      SOLUTION: This indirect heating kiln includes: the rotary drum 1 for heating a material to be processed while rotating the material; and heating chambers 2 enclosing the outer periphery of the rotary drum, wherein a heating medium is circulated through the heating chambers to transfer heat to the rotary drum and heat the drum. In the kiln, both end portions of the rotary drum are extended outward over the shaft length of the heating chamber, bearings 5 and 6 are provided as a ring around both extended ends of the rotary drum, a driving gear 7 is attached on the outer periphery of one of the bearings provided as a ring, and a transmission system of a drive source is meshed with the attached driving gear to provide a main driving device 8 for rotating the rotary drum without rotating the heating chamber.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of repairing a tire without reducing the operation rate of a rotary kiln by putting the rotary kiln in an operational state, allowing a cutting blade to abut against the outer peripheral surface of the tire, which rotates together with a kiln main body, to perform the cutting, and reparing an unevenly worn-out portion on the outer peripheral surface of the tire. CONSTITUTION:A lathe 33 is set in parallel to a surface of a body of a tire 10 and, after a tip of a cutting tool 34 is so set that the surface of the body of the tire is cut a little at a time from the largest portion of its deflection width, it is moved in parallel to the surface of the body of the tire 10 toward the width direction of the tire 10. With this arrangement, the outer peripheral surface 10a of the tire 10 rotating together with a kiln main body 1 is cut. Then, when the cutting at a cutting tool position is finished, the cutting tool 34 is moved toward the center of the tire 10, and the tire 10 is cut in a similar way. When the cutting of the tire 10 is finished, a pair of support rollers 11, 11 are moved in a direct in which the interval of both the support rollers becomes narrower in accordance with a cutting quantity, thereby finishing the cutting work. By this method, a tire can be repaired in simple work without reducing an operation rate of a rotary kiln.
