    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable rocket engine reduced in energy loss, and using hydrocarbon as fuel.SOLUTION: A rocket engine comprises: fuel flow passages 31-39; a catalyst part 51; a turbine 12; a first pump 11; a combustion chamber 21; and a nozzle 22. Hydrocarbon-based fuel flows in the fuel flow passages 31-39. The catalyst part 51 is disposed in the halfway of the fuel flow passages 31-39 so as to gasify the fuel. The turbine 12 is driven by the gasified fuel. The first pump 11 supplies the fuel to the fuel flow passages 31-39 by driving of the turbine 12. The combustion chamber 21 burns the gasified fuel supplied from the fuel flow passages 31-39, and an oxidizer. The nozzle 22 sends out the combustion gas of the combustion chamber 21, and heat-exchanges with a part of the fuel flow passages 31-39, and is cooled.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mono-liquid thruster excellent in durability, easily manufactured and advantageous in reliability and cost, and preventing the local collapse and wear of a catalyst particle in a catalyst layer, thus resulting in the suppression of troubles such as thrust reduction and the deteriorated efficiency of a hydrazinolysis reaction.
      SOLUTION: This mono-liquid thruster includes: a chamber 5 provided with an injector 3 and filled with the catalyst layer 4 generating cracked gas by decomposing hydrazine introduced through the injector 3; and a nozzle 6 obtaining thrust by blowing off the cracked gas generated in the chamber 5. An alumina-filled layer 10 formed by filling inert aluminum particles as a hydrazine dispersion accelerating part is provided in the vicinity of the injector 3 of the chamber 5.
