    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining member for a catalytic converter, capable of restraining deterioration of a mesh member due to heat, which is provided for strength reinforcement and maintenance of stable shape, thus attaining long-term maintenance of a strength reinforcing effect and a stable-shape maintaining effect. SOLUTION: This retaining member for the catalytic converter includes a catalytic carrier formed into a cylindrical shape, a casing for storing the catalytic carrier, and a retainer which is wound around the catalytic carrier and provided between the catalytic carrier and the casing. In this retaining member, the mesh member braided with metallic fine wire is surrounded by a molded body consisting of inorganic fiber having a thickness larger than that of the mesh member.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harmful material removing sheet having high removing performance of harmful materials, especially ammonia gas and a lower aldehyde such as acetaldehyde. SOLUTION: The harmful material removing sheet having a density of >=0.10 g/cm is produced by manufacturing a sheet by the mixed wet-papermaking of 30-80 wt.% activated carbon having an adsorption capacity of mainly acetaldehyde of >=20 mg/g (equilibrium adsorption at an equilibrium concentration of 10 ppm), 10-40 wt.% photoreactive semiconductor having an equilibrium adsorption of ammonia gas of 5 mg/g-(photoreactive semiconductor: in dark state) at an equilibrium concentration of 10 ppm and 1-30 wt.% hot-melt binder fiber and welding the hot-melt binder fiber in the produced sheet.
