摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize environmental pollution and carrying out the subject tanning by using a blocked polyisocyanate containing ether group and a mineral tanning agent. SOLUTION: This method for tanning leather comprises using (A) an organic polyisocyanate (e.g. 1,4-dicyanate butane), (B) a polyether alcohol in which polyalkylene oxide unit in an amount of 0.01-0.4 equivalent (based on hydroxyl group of polyether alcohol) per isocyanate group of the component A is introduced, with the proviso that 40-100mol% of polyalkylene oxide unit comprises polyethylene oxide unit having 5-70 chain unit length, (C) optionally, a component reactive with other NCO and (D) a carbamoylsulfonate group-containing product obtained by reaction of ammonium or alkali metal bisulfite or disulfite and successively (E) a mineral tanning agent selected from chromium (II), iron (II), iron (III), aluminum (III), titanium (IV) and zirconium (IV) without pickling, at pH>=4.
