    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a landing shock absorbing device capable of protecting an occupant by effectively absorbing landing shock by a simple structure.
SOLUTION: This device is provided with seat holding and lowering means (a rail member 1, a slide member 2 and a shear pin 3, etc.) for holding a seat 10 at a prescribed position and lowering the seat 10 on which the occupant P sits from the prescribed position when the prescribed landing shock is applied, and an air bag 4 for supporting the seat 10 from a lower side. When the prescribed landing shock is applied, the shear pin 3 is broken, the seat 10 is lowered, and the seat 10 is supported by the air bag 4 from the lower side with the air bag deformed, and thereby the landing shock applied to the occupant P is reduced.

    • PURPOSE: To diverge a shock in landing and to provide no damage to the human body by providing a seat body having center of gravity at its rear rather than a revolving shaft, and means for fixing the seat body for preventing rotation and for releasing the fixing on acting force exceeding tolerance on the seat body. CONSTITUTION: A strain gage 7 is not necessarily installed on all seats. The seat bodies having no strain gage 7 receive a signal sent from a control pack 15. Igniting a blasting cap 13 releases a stopper bolt 5. Center of gravity then moves to the front of an airframe when force is applied from the rear of the airframe, resulting in rotating the seat body to give a backward state since the center of gravity of the seat body is backwardly located rather than a revolving shaft 4. Thus the seat body faces the force-applied direction, resulting in that a passenger constantly receives force with the entire back through a backrest 6b. In addition, a shock received from the airframe is diverged by rotating the seat body.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a seat underframe which can vary the amount of energy absorption without varying the relative positions, shapes and dimensions of components of the underframe itself. CONSTITUTION: This invention relates to a seat underframe for a passenger aircraft. The underframe includes at least one element forming a front leg, at least one element forming a rear leg, and energy absorption means 32 which is actuated when a movable part of the seat moves relative to other parts of the seat or the floor of a cabin with the seat subjected to deceleration above a predetermined value. The energy absorption means includes a male part which enters an aperture 2 in a female part when plastically deformed by a force, and either the female part or the male part is attached on and directly associated with the movable part, while the other part, i.e., the male part or the female part, is attached on and directly associated with the other parts of the seat or the floor.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the anti-G performance of a seat device used in the maneu vering system of an aircraft by determining the optimum amount of seat curva ture from a seat back curvature judging region preparation program made out on the basis of the individual acceleration environment medical data for the pilot concerned, the information about machine body motions, and the accel eration. CONSTITUTION:The individual acceleration environment medical data 25 for the pilot is fed to a computer 6, and a judgement critera 15 are prepared according to a judging region preparation program 16. When an aircraft is put in the flight state and a control rod 18 is pulled toward the pilot in order to apply a G, the angle amount is passed to a seat curvature determination program 13 as a control rod/stabilator command 1. The G generated is calculated presumatively from the attitude angle 2, altitude 4, speed 5, etc., fed from an inertia navigation device 3 and the acceleration 12. The result from calculation is fed to a servo valve 11 as a curvature command 10, and the oil pressure 20 is sent to a servo cylinder 8, and the back 19 of the seat 17 is curved with a least amount of curving which does not cause the pilot 7 to lose consciousness.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate holding of the head part of a pilot and to improve safety, by providing a head rest which is situated in a manner that it is movable from a seat body toward the head part of a pilot by an actuator by means of a signal from a heat part position detector. CONSTITUTION:When acceleration is generated through the maneuver of an aircraft, a signal from a differently mounted acceleration sensor 6 is outputted to a signal controller 7. In which case, the signal controller 7 outputs an output signal, responding to a distance between a pilot 1 and a head rest 3 obtained by a head part position detector 4, to a control valve 8. Working fluid is properly fed and discharged to and from an actuator 5 with the aid of actuating source 15 to move forward and backward the head rest 3. The head rest 3 is positioned right after the head part of the pilot 1 to hold this relation state. This constitution facilitates holding of the head part of the pilot 1 and enables improvement of safety, permits execution of accurate operation to sight a target during the maneuver of an aircraft, and allows sharp improvement of operation of an aircraft.
