SOLUTION: The method for applying performance enhancing materials to the creping cylinder includes the steps of (a) providing a tissue making operation wherein a rotating creping cylinder is used to dry a wet mat of fibrous material wherein the mat of fibrous material is contacted with a doctor blade that crepes the fibrous mat so that leaves the creping cylinder, (b) dividing the creping cylinder into a plurality of zones A, B, C and D, wherein each zone has a performance requirement and operating temperature range that are different in an adjacent zone, (c) providing means N1-N10 for applying one or more desired performance enhancing materials to each zone of the creping cylinder, and (d) applying one or more performance enhancing materials to at least two zones of the creping cylinder, wherein the performance enhancing material applied to each zone is selected based on the performance requirement and operating temperature range of each zone of the creping cylinder.

摘要： Rolled creped paper products, such as kitchen towels, can be provided with high roll bulk and a high degree of roll firmness by steaming the dry, creped paper sheet immediately prior to embossing the sheet between matched steel embossing rolls. The steaming preconditions the sheet such that the resulting sheet embossments maintain their shape and structural strength, thereby imparting greater bulk and firmness to the wound roll of product. 摘要： A method for making a fibrous web and the wiper (71) made thereby which exhibits improved dry, wet and solvent tensile strengths as well as superior resistance to wet collapse. The web is formed from a furnish of lignocellulosic fibers and bi-component fibers, the web having a basis weight in the range of about 20 lbs per ream to about 60 lbs per ream. Bonding material (75) is applied in at least one pattern to each surface of the web, and the web is creped at least twice from a creping surface. Lignocellulosic fibers make up from about 50 % to about 94 % by weight of the web. Bi-component fibers of polyester and polyethylene make up from about 6 % to about 50 % by weight of said fibrous web. The fibrous web has an undulating disposition due to creping and has first and second strong, abrasion resistant, laminate-like surface regions interconnected by an absorbent central de-densified core region containing tack-bonded bi-component fibers.
