    • One object of the present invention is to provide a method for cutting a corrugated card board sheet in which continuous trimmed pieces are formed over an order change period, thereby preventing meandering of the sheet without increasing manufacturing cost. A method in accordance with the present invention is a method for cutting a continuous work sheet being fed along a feed line of a cutting machine using a slitter (2) which is disposed in the feed line and is moveable in upper and lower directions, wherein when the slitter is transferred from its previous cutting position to its new cutting position in response to an order change of the continuous work sheet, the continuous work sheet is cut in a manner that a trimmed piece forms a continuous strip, said method comprising: providing a trimming means (51) disposed along the feed line in a position spaced apart from said slitter, said trimming means being movable in upper and lower directions, and said trimming means including a slitter blade being pivotable around an axis disposed vertically relative to the surface of said continuous work sheet, moving said slitter from its previous cutting position to a position spaced apart from the surface of the continuous work sheet, while moving said trimming means toward the cutting position for the continuous work sheet, whereby said trimming means cuts the trimmed piece formed by said slitter in the previous cutting process, and moving said slitter toward the cutting position for the continuous work sheet, while moving said trimming means from the cutting position for the continuous work sheet to a position spaced apart from the surface of the continuous work sheet, whereby said slitter begins to cut the continuous work sheet, whereby the trimmed piece is formed by said trimming means in such a manner that the trimmed piece formed in the previous cutting process and the trimmed piece formed in the new cutting process are continuous.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent such an ill condition that a liner is separated close to the cut face at the sheet cutting time by providing a sharp-edged disc type cutter positioned on the lower side of a traveling corrugated board sheet with a liner stuck to the lower side thereof in an immediately preceding process, and providing a supporting means positioned on the upper side of the sheet so as to regulate the escape of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A disc cutter rotating type cutting device installed at the slitter- scorer of a corrugating machine is provided with a sharp-edged disc cutter 4 positioned on the lower side of a double-side corrugated board sheet 3 successively fed being continuously manufactured with a liner stuck to the lower side of a double-side corrugated board. With the rotation of the cutter 4, the cutter 4 bites into the sheet surface from the lower liner 5 side of the sheet 3 to cut the sheet 3. In this case, a plate like brush 8 planted in a bearer 7, over the whole breadth direction area of the sheet 3 is installed on the upper side of the sheet 3 in order to regulate upward escape against the push-up force of the cutter 4 in association with the cutting of the sheet 3. The separation of the liner at the sheet cutting time is thereby prevented.
