    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for machining a seal member and a device therefor, by which easy and highly-accurate machining can be executed.
      SOLUTION: The method for machining a seal member is used for finishing the seal member 20 into a prescribed dimension by cutting the surface of the seal member 20 subjected to injection molding. The seal member 20 is inserted to a groove part 111 previously provided to a fixing part 110 for fixing the seal member 20. The vicinity of a cutting part of the seal member 20 is pressed by a pressing part 120 so as not to generate the rising of the seal member 20 from the bottom part 111a of the groove part 111. A cutting tool 130, which has a negative rake angle to the cutting part, is pressed against the entire region in the direction of crossing with the longitudinal direction of the seal member 20. The cutting part is cut by relatively moving the cutting tool 130 together with the pressing part 120 to the seal member 20 in the longitudinal direction of the seal member 20.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically machine a V-shaped groove on one face of a plate by the use of a tool provided on a machining head by disposing a drive device for moving the machining head along one face of the plate which is positioned by means of a positioner and is fixed on a table by means of a fixing device. CONSTITUTION:A servo motor disposed in a positioner is driven, and a plate W held by the work clamp 27 of a carriage 25 via a screw rod 31 is automatically moved and positioned in a longitudinal direction. And next, a negative pressure is applied to suction holes 13 by the effect of the drive of a negative pressure generator 15 provided in a fixing device, and then the plate W is suctioned and fixed on the upper face of a work table 11 by the sucking action of the suction holes 13. Under this state kept intact, a nut member screwed around a screw rod 39 is rotated in a proper direction by the effect of the drive of a control motor 61 disposed in a drive device, and then, a machining head 35 is laterally moved together with the nut member along the screw rod 39. With this movement, a cutting tool 33 provided on the machining head 35 forms a V-shaped groove on the upper face of the plate W.
