    • PURPOSE:To sharpen a cut end face of a wire rod, and to homogenize the property of the cut end face by making a cutter execute relatively a circular motion to the wire rod, and cutting the wire rod like a ring. CONSTITUTION:A shear die 2 and a cutter 1 are brought to core-matching and a wire rod is fed by fixed size. When a cam shaft 5 is rotated by 90 deg., the cutter 1 is displaced by S in the Y axis direction through the second cam 13 and a cutter lever 12. Subsequently, the cutter 1 executes an approximate linear motion expressed by x=Scostheta, on the (x) axis. On the other hand, the shear die 2 also synchronizes with it and executes an approximate linear motion expressed by y=Ssintheta, on the (y) axis. During this time, a locus of the center of the cutter 1 draws an artificial circular motion expressed by x +y =S relatively to the wire rod 3, and the wire rod 3 is cut like a ring. In this case, when a value of S is set to an inside diameter R or above of the cutter 1, the wire rod 2 is cut completely by a relative circular motion of the cutter 1.
