摘要： PURPOSE:To easily wash deposit on the inner surface in a buried state of a city water pipe by intruding a folding cleaner through an aperture from which a valve or a hydrant has been detached and filling air to restore the folding cleaner into a sphere and allowing this sphere to perforate the inside of the pipe with city water pressure and washing deposit. CONSTITUTION:A spherical cleaner 3 is formed by covering an elliptical elastic sphere which is made of a thick-walled rubber bag expanded with air and shaped to a Rugby ball with a wire gauze 2 made of a tough steel wire. This spherical cleaner 3 is used and intruded into a city water pipe 4 in such a folding state that air has been drawn through an aperture from which the necessary part such as a sluice valve and a hydrant exposed to the ground has been detached. Then the cleaner is restored to a sphere by filling compressed air and introduced into the city water pipe 4. Then the aperture is closed and a main valve is opened to allow city water to flow. The cleaner is allowed to perforate the inside of the pipe by utilizing city water pressure and the pipe is rubbed by the wire gauze 2 in a state press-contacted on the inner surface and thereby a foreign matter 5 such as scale and iron rust stuck on the inner surface of the pipe 4 is peeled. The foreign matter 5 is discharged together with the cleaner 3 through the aperture from which the drain valve of the terminal of the pipe 4 or the hydrant has been detached.
