摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable intake of iron contents by using an iron material for at least the bottom of a small container placed in an inner container in an electric rice cooker and accurately hold the small container in position by the magnetic attraction of the iron material. SOLUTION: A small container 9 to be placed on the inner bottom plate of an aluminum inner container 6 in an electric rice cooker body 1 is accurately held in position by a magnet 10 attracting an iron material at the bottom. With heating operation of an electrothermic plate 4, rice and gruel are boiled up at the same time in the inner container 6 in which rice is contained and in the small container 9 in which a water is contained, respectively. These contain iron contents derived from the small container 9, resulting in intake of iron contents required for a human body.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow rice to suck water sufficiently by detecting the temp. of side surface of pot for detecting the condition of rice cooking, and changing the application time of microwave according to the quantity of rice to be cooked. SOLUTION: When operation is started, a temp. sensor 25 detects the temp. of bottom surface of a pot 21 and a temp. sensor 40 detects the temp. of side surface of the pot 21, then signals therefrom are sent to a heating control unit 39, and according to a preliminarily set program induction heating means 32 and a magnetron 36 are controlled. After the lapse of measurement time t3 of a pre-cooking step, the temp. of the sensor 40 is stored, and the magnetron 36 is put ON and then put OFF at the measurement time t4 . The temp. α0 of the sensor 40 is measured and it is compared with the measured temp. In the case of small quantity of rice to be cooked, the level of water is in the vicinity of the sensor 40 and the temp. to be detected rises in a short time. Accordingly α>α0 means that the quantity of rice to be cooked is small. In the case of large quantity of rice to be cooked, the sensor 40 is apart from the water level and the detection temp., α becomes smaller than the stored temp. α0 . In this case the application time of microwave increases.
