    • PURPOSE:To enable multistage transmission without equipping an accessory transmission unit, by providing a sleeve for changeover between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive and a low speed changeover sleeve which acts to couple a low speed driven gear and a clutch hub to each other. CONSTITUTION:A gear transmission 60 comprises the output shaft 61 of a clutch 20, an idler shaft 62, a front output shaft 63 and a counter shaft 64. A sleeve 68 for changeover between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive acts to selectively connect a clutch hub 66 and a rear output shaft 65 to each other. A low speed changeover sleeve 69 acts to selectively connect a low speed driven gear 67 and the clutch hub 66 to each other. According to this constitution, two-front-wheel drive shiftable to many speed stages, four-front-and-rear-wheel drive shiftable to many speed stages and four-front-and-rear-wheel drive of high torque and low speed can be effected without providing an accessory transmission unit.
