摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily forming a recess with a predetermined depth in the surface of a workpiece made of a easily cuttable material with a small stress in spite of a large area. SOLUTION: The workpiece 1 is made of the cuttable material. A cutting tool 10 for forming the recess in the workpiece 1 is held on a moving device at a predetermined angle relative to the workpiece 1. In a fin forming step, thin-walled cutting fins 3 are vertically formed by moving the cutting tool 10 in a cutting down direction for cutting down the workpiece at a predetermined angle relative to the workpiece. Next, the cutting fins 3 are cut by moving the cutting tool 10 horizontally in a cutting step, and the cutting tool is separated from the workpiece 1.
