    • PURPOSE:To obtain a projective color picture receiver with brightness and high resolution by arranging an electromagnetic focusing means of a blue color projecting tube nearer the fluorescent screen than other tubes and increasing the beam spot diameter of the blue color projecting tube only at a large current so as to relax the saturation of luminance. CONSTITUTION:In projecting a monochroic picture pictured on the fluorescent screen of three projecting tubes 20R, 20G and 20B lighted in red, green and blue colors onto a picture screen 23 by using projecting lenses 22R, 22G and 22B, a focusing coil 21B of the blue color projecting tube 22B causing the saturation of luminance at a smaller current than that of the other two tubes is placed nearer the fluorescent screen than focusing coils 21R, 21G for the other colors. Although the beam spot diameter is more decreased in a small beam current as the focusing coil is neare the fluorescent screen, the beam spot diameter at a large beam current is increased when the coil is too near or too far from the screen as shown in Curve II. Thus, the beam spot diameter of blue color is increased at a large current thereby suppressing the saturation of luminance by placing the blue focusing coil to a point B and the others to a point A in this way.
