    • PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of erroneous operation of an optical communication device and to secure its communication by invalidating information received by a reception part while a transmission part is in transmitting operation.
      CONSTITUTION: A transmission side after finishing transmission confirms whether there is data received in the middle of the transmission or not, and invalidates the received data when it exists. When the transmits data is received by the opposite device, the received data is stored in a received data register RD and also transmitted to the transmitting device from a transmit data register TD. The transmission side confirms whether the transmitted data is received by the reception side accurately and returned accurately or not. When the received data is the same as the transmitted data, it is judged that the communication is completed accurately and the next processing is entered. If the data transmission and reception is erroneous after a time longer than the set value of a timer unit TU is elapsed, a check on whether transmission is performed at a specific frequency or not is made and even when accurate data transmission and reception are not performed while the transmission is repeated at the specific frequency, error display is performed.

    • PURPOSE: To attain the confirmation of correct arrival of data at the same time as the end of transmission, by returning data in transmitting the data to an objective transceiver and comparing the reflected data and the transmitted data bit by bit.
      CONSTITUTION: An address detector 2-7 of the transceiver 2 checks an error check code of an address, and when it is detected as the address from a device 7, a switch 2-6 is connected and received data of a receiver 2-4 is transmitted to a coaxial cable 5 by using a reflecting driver 2-1. The transmitted data is received by a receiver 1-2 of the transceiver 1. The transceiver 1 uses a data comparator 1-5 and compares the transmission data on an interface line 1-8 with the receiving data of a receiver 1-2 bit by bit. If no transmission error is not generated on coaxial cables 4, 5, two inputs of the comparator 1-5 are always the same value and the correct arrival is confirmed.
