    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor of high quality, which suppresses deterioration of motor performance while dispersion of a motor characteristic is prevented by improving assembly precision of a commutator and an armature core, and to provide an inexpensive motor by reducing the number of assembly processes.SOLUTION: In a bracket in a bottomed cylinder shape, a magnet is attached to an inner peripheral face and is made to be a field magnetic pole. In an armature, a commutator is coupled to an armature core where a plurality of thin core sheets are laminated. A shaft is inserted into the core, an armature coil is wound to a slot arranged in the armature core, and a bearing is attached to form the armature. The armature is constituted by assembling it to the field magnetic pole. In coupling of the armature core and the commutator, a polygonal projection formed of resin is arranged in the commutator, the projection is coupled to a slot inner peripheral face of the armature core and a shaft is inserted.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the axial size of a motor by reducing the outer diameter of the end of a commutator smaller than that of a rotational shaft, and forming a recess for containing the end of the commutator on a brush plate, thereby readily assembling. CONSTITUTION:A commutator 2 mounted at the front end of a rotational shaft 1 has a hole for press-fitting the shaft 1 to the rear end in such a manner that the front end is formed in a converged conical shape. The outer diameter of the front end of the commutator 2 is smaller than that of the shaft 1. A recess 40 for containing the front end of the commutator 2 is provided on a brush plate 4 opposed to the front end of the commutator 2 and having a pair of brushes 5 slidably contacted with the outer surface of the commutator 2.
