    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter for radio wave reception which has an excellent crossed polarization characteristic and is inexpensive.
      SOLUTION: The converter for radio wave reception includes: a circular waveguide unit 2 to which a vertically polarized wave V and a horizontally polarized wave H are input; board holders 4, 5 provided above and under the circular waveguide unit for holding circuit boards 12, 13, respectively; and feeding probes 10, 11 of which distal ends are provided while being protruded into a waveguide 2a in parallel with the polarized waves V, H, respectively, and of which proximal ends are connected to the circuit boards 12, 13, respectively. Therefore, since the board holders 4, 5 are provided above and under the circular waveghuide unit 2, it becomes unnecessary to use a slide nesting in metallic mold design and a metallic mold can be manufactured easily at low cost.

    • PURPOSE:To receive two orthogonal linear polarized waves separately by using a cylindrical waveguide as a feeding part and rotating only the rotary part of a parabolic antenna. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical waveguide 7 is used as the feeding part and the rotary part 12 is provided between this cylindrical waveguide 7 and an output terminal 9. Further, a small-sized antenna 10 capable of receiving two orthogonal linear polarized waves A A' and B B' is provided in the output terminal 9. A radio wave absorbing plate 11 which absorbs either of those two orthogonal linear polarized wave is provided. Then, the rotary part 12 is rotated by 90 deg. to receive the polarized wave A A' or B B' separately by the antenna 10. Thus, two orthogonal linear polarized waves are received separately by rotating only the rotary part of the parabolic antenna.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device for dual polarization that is lighter than before, keeps rigidity intact, keeps performance substantially intact, and costs less than before in various phases.SOLUTION: An antenna device 10 includes: a reflector 12 including a concave surface 12a for reflecting radio waves, a rear surface 12b opposite to the concave surface, a radio axis 12c of the radio waves reflected by the concave surface, and a focal position 12d of the concave surface; a radiator 14 arranged in the focal position to at least either transmit or receive two linearly polarized radio waves orthogonal to each other toward the concave surface or from the concave surface; and a structural unit 16 for supporting the radiator in the focal position. Two planes of linear polarization 20a, 20b are defined on the concave surface by the two linearly polarized waves. The structural unit includes a body protruding from the rear surface of the reflector into a radiation space 18 defined between the concave surface and the radiator in a position on the concave surface apart from the two planes of linear polarization.
