    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a change in a musical sound as a player desires by a motion of shaking a stick-like component in certain period of time in a performance device.SOLUTION: A performance device main body 11 extending along a longitudinal direction to be hand-held by a player is provided with an acceleration sensor 23 and an angular velocity sensor 22 that detects angular velocity around an axis in the longitudinal direction. A CPU 21 of the performance device main body 11 detects a timing for generating musical sound based on an acceleration sensor value of the acceleration sensor 23. The CPU 21 uses an angular velocity sensor value ω of the angular velocity sensor 22 to obtain a rotation angle around an axis of the performance device main body 11 from a first timing corresponding to a start of shaking the performance device main body 11 to a second timing corresponding to an end of the shaking. The CPU 21 calculates rise and fall in a sound volume level and a corrected value of the rise and fall according to a direction and an extent of a rotation based on the rotation angle obtained based on the angular velocity sensor value ω, and corrects the sound volume level of a musical sound to be produced.
