    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an influence by a pitch, yaw, and roll component of each axis on a processing point with a position detector of a CNC machine tool to improve processing accuracy.
      SOLUTION: This method for measuring a position detection error of a machine tool a process of correcting the positioning accuracy of a linear scale 11 for measuring the positioning error using a laser length measuring device in a correction method for the position detection accuracy of a position detector disposed at the machine tool; a process of attaching the corrected linear scale 11 for measuring the positioning error to a straight-line axis of the machine tool in parallel; and a process of comparing a movement amount obtained from the position detector of the machine tool by moving the straight-line axis by a fixed amount with a movement amount read from the linear scale 11 for measuring the positioning error attached to the straight line axis in parallel to store the differential as error data of the position detector of the machine tool.
