    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detectable compound comprising a first compound which is bonded to an electrochemiluminescent compound by a covalent bond and chemically transformable.
      SOLUTION: The compound is used for measuring the object to be analyzed in a sample and contains an electrochemiluminescent marker containing a metal coordination complex. In the compound, the marker is bonded to a catalyst substrate selected from β-lactams and β-nicotinamide adenine cofactors, but it is different from a catalyst product corresponding to the catalyst substrate in ability for generating the electrochemiluminescence in the electrochemiluminescent marker by reacting with the electrochemiluminescent marker. The compound is useful for a method and a kit for monitoring the state of the first compound and taking out information by the monitoring. The figure shows a proposal mechanism of ECL which describes reaction steps relating to use of TPA as a non-conjugated reductant.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a protein complex including a "ble" fusion protein having a specific bonding characteristic.
      SOLUTION: The protein complex can be bonded reversibly to an antibiotic from a bleomycin family, and the characteristic is utilized for various immobilization methods. The complex is used as a marker for protein expression and/or folding, or as a marker for affinity tagging. The invention also provides a probe including an array of an immobilized antibiotic from the bleomycin family, which acts as an analyte capture moiety. In another aspect, a purification media is provided, which includes an antibiotic of the bleomycin family as an analyte capture moiety. Further, a method is provided, for generating a soluble form of an insoluble protein by expressing the protein as a "ble" fusion protein and selecting in the presence of an antibiotic from the bleomycin family. In a further aspect, the "ble" protein is expressed as a fusion protein in a cell into which a labelled antibiotic of the bleomycin family is introduced, thereby allowing identification of the cellular localization of the protein.
