摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier rapier capable of surely holding wefts having no unity (easy to disperse) as the whole, special wefts in a tape-like shape (wide width) such as a flat yarn, without giving damage on the wefts. SOLUTION: The carrier rapier 1, having a hook-like rapier head 2 on its tip side, is constituted of a weft holding part 7a having a wedge-like gap formed by the base face 4 of the turning-back part 2b of the carrier rapier 1 and an opposing face 6 of a catch lever 5, and a weft guiding part 9 for guiding the weft 3 from the outside of the carrier rapier 1 to the weft holding part 7a. A weft interference part 8a is provided between the weft guiding part 9 and the weft holding part 7a, and the angle θ2 formed by the base face 4 and the opposing face 6 in the weft interference part 8a is set to a smaller angle than the maximum angle θ1 formed by the base face 4 and the opposing face 6 in the weft holding part 7a. There can be continuous or localized (interrupted) projecting blocks in the part below the rapier tape (3), with support functions of the rapier tape head (2), to couple with the solution of the gripper projecting from the lower surface of the rapier tape (3), to ensure the optimal positioning of the rapier tape head (2) with respect to the traverse path, along the pathway in the shed.
