    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate for a fringe field switching type liquid crystal display device which is free of color unevenness and light leakage, and a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: There is provided the color filter substrate for the fringe field switching type liquid crystal display device constituted by sticking together the color filter substrate and an array substrate which has interdigital pixel electrodes of 10 μm or less in electrode width with liquid crystal interposed therebetween. The color filter substrate is equipped with a black matrix including organic pigment formed on a transparent substrate as a main coloring material, red pixels, green pixels, and blue pixels which are provided in regions sectioned by the black matrix on the transparent substrate and have relative dielectric constants of 2.9-4.4 measured at a frequency for driving the liquid crystal, and a transparent resin layer formed on the red pixels, green pixels, and blue pixels, the relative dielectric constants of the red pixels, green pixels, and blue pixels being within a range of ±0.3 of a mean relative dielectric constant of the respective colored pixels.
