    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water server that is excellent in sanitation and can make use of low temperature drinking water even during a sterilizing operation.SOLUTION: The water server is constituted of: a cold water tank 2; a raw water pumping tube 5 for communicating a raw water container 3 with the cold water tank 2; a pump 6 provided at a midway of the raw water pumping tube 5; a hot water tank 7; a buffer tank 8 arranged above the hot water tank 7; a hot water tank water-feed tube 9 that communicates the buffer tank 8 with the hot water tank 7; a first three-way valve 13 and a second three-way valve 15 that are provided in the raw water pumping tube 5; a buffer tank water-feed tube 14 for communicating the first three-way valve 13 with the buffer tank 8; and circulating piping 16 for communicating the second three-way valve 15 with the hot water tank 7.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water server for facilitating a sterilization operation at a timing suitable for life cycle of a user, while warranting an interval of the sterilization operation of the water server by a timer control.SOLUTION: In a water server, when power is turned ON, timer control of a sterilization operation is automatically started according to a predetermined routine. If an input of a predetermined signal by a switching operation by a user is inputted, and the input is the first input after turning ON the power, the sterilization operation is performed, then an energy-saving operation and reservation control are performed. In the energy-saving control, a heater is kept OFF initially, then the heater is turned ON after lapse of a specified time. In the reservation control, a reservation time of the timer control is updated in accordance with said predetermined routine referring to a time of the input. If the input corresponds to the second time or more after the power is turned ON, the lapse time from the input that triggered the last sterilization operation is compared with a threshold value. If the lapse time>the threshold value, the sterilization operation, the energy-saving operation and the reservation control are performed. If the lapse time≤the threshold value, the energy-saving operation is performed without performing the sterilization operation and the reservation control.
