摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preclude a paper sheet from coming off out of one side drum during an operation for taking over the paper sheet from the other side drum by the one side drum.
SOLUTION: This folding device for a rotary press wherein a preceding side of the paper sheet is held by a holding mechanism provided in one side drum out of two rotary drums F2, F3 with opposed outer circumferential faces displaced along the same direction, wherein the preceding side of the paper sheet is released in a proper position after passing a near position to the one drum by rotation of the other drum, wherein an intermediate part of the sheet cut into a cut sheet PC at latest in a release time is inserted toward an inside of a groove G provided in an outer circumferential face of the other side drum by an insertion blade F23 provided in the one side drum, and wherein the cut sheet is received into the groove to be folded in parallel to the center line of the other side drum in the intermediate part comprises a paper sheet holding means provided in the other side drum to be retracted and advanced from sheet width-directional both sides with respect to the sheet width-directional center of the paper sheet received in the groove, and to come into contact with an insertion blade contact side of the sheet to hold the intermediate part of the sheet in the groove, and a paper sheet holding operation imparting means 21 for advance- and retreat-operating the paper sheet holding means in a predetermined prescribed timing.
