    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a cutout range of a display coordinate according to a deviation without putting a vehicle in a specific environment, even when a position of a camera deviates as a result of an exchange of cameras.
      SOLUTION: A camera body 21 is accommodated in a bracket 10 fixed to a vehicle, and protrusion portions 24 and 25 fixed to the camera body 21 come into contact with contact position sensors 12 and 13 fixed to the bracket 10. An ECU obtains an output of the contact position sensors 12 and 13 from a predetermined port, and corrects, in the presence of a change of a contact position obtained from the port, a range cut out from a photographed image and displayed based on information of the contact position before change and the contact position after change, so that an area within the cutout range of the photographed image of a camera may not be changed in a local coordinate system fixed to the vehicle before and after the change.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system which can inform a trouble to a driver when the monitoring system stops due to a certain trouble while a former image remains on a display device.
      SOLUTION: When it is determined that a vehicle is operated based on an output signal p2 inputted from an operation detecting portion 50, an image comparison calculating portion 40 compares present image data with past image data obtained in at least cycle just past. The image comparison calculating portion 40 determines based on the comparison result whether or not a trouble has occurred in a camera 5 or an image processing portion 10. When the trouble has occurred, the image comparison calculating portion 40 outputs an output signal p1 informing "trouble" to the image processing portion 10. On receiving this output signal p1, the image processing portion 10 performs image processing against trouble, and changes a display device 20 to a single color display or an alarm display by transmitting trouble information on an image signal g2.
