    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a bicycle rim being excellent aerodynamically and to reduce its weight. SOLUTION: This bicycle rim includes an outer annular surface provided with a plurality of exits 865, a first annular spoke mounting part and a second annular spoke mounting part connected with an inner peripheral side of the outer annular surface, and an inner annular surface connecting the first and second annular spoke mounting parts mutually. The first and second annular spoke mounting parts face mutually and are provided with a plurality of spoke openings 874 and a plurality of tightening device openings 825 in close proximity to the openings. The outer annular surface, the first and second annular spoke mounting parts, and the inner annular surface are integrally formed members having annular hollow parts. Each of a plurality of spoke openings is a slot extending in the circumferential direction along the first and second annular spoke mounting parts. A plurality of spoke openings are at positions apart from the inner annular surface by at least 5 mm on an outer side in the radial direction and have a width in the radial direction within a scope of about 0.5 mm to about 5.0 mm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight spoke wheel having high fatigue strength, and using a rim with a flange applicable to a tubeless tire spoke wheel.SOLUTION: A spoke receiving hole 19 perforates a flange 17 formed at a rim 12 while being inclined by a predetermined angle b in a radial direction with respect to a perpendicular line Q-Q. A head 13a of a spoke 13, is seated on a seating surface 19a formed on one side surface of the spoke receiving hole 19 in contact at a region I at a side closer to a rim body 12a; and a head straight portion 13b of the spoke 13 contacts with an edge K of an opening at a side distant from the rim body to which a hole 19b directly is opened at the opposite side from the seating surface 19a of the spoke receiving hole 19. The moment is generated in the head straight portion 13b around the contact portion K which locks the spoke 13 at the edge K of the spoke receiving hole 19 and a compression force is generated between the contact portions I and K.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock the push-up of spokes in a rim by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: Spoke receiving holes 11 are formed in the rim 5 so as to be aligned with a wheel centerline O-O. The head straightline part 2a of the spoke 2 up to the bending start part C is formed shorter, and a bending angle θ required to obtain the plane angle and the elevation angle is set smaller by a predetermined angle α. The straightline part 2a is inserted into the receiving hole 11 while being tilted by the predetermined angle α.
