    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire inspection and method which can position metal sensors easily and with high precision regardless of the size and type of tire and can detect abnormalities in metal wire at a splice part of a belt member embedded in a tire.
      SOLUTION: When the metal sensors 9a, 9b are brought close to a tire T, which is supported by cylinder rods 11a, 11b together with two wheels which arrange the metal sensors 9a, 9b on both sides in a tiltable manner so that the height positions of the two wheels change and is held at a predetermined position by a holding roller 5 provided on a holding arm 4 on an inspection stage 2, by a reciprocating cylinder 20, a stopper roller 17 is brought into contact with a tire tread, and the vertically arranged two metal sensors 9a, 9b are fixed at predetermined positions on the outer side surface of the tire T, and then the presence of metal wire is detected while rotating the tire T.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide marking equipment which marks excellently both lateral parts of a tire by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: This marking equipment 10 has a lifter 12 being movable upward and downward, a marking part 18 provided above the lifter 12 and holding parts 20A and 20B which hold the tire T put on the lifter 12 from the opposite sides in the radial direction of the tire. The holding parts 20A and 20B are rotatable at an angle of 180°. The tire T is put on the lifter 12 and the lifter 12 is made to rise up. Thereby the lateral part TA on one side of the tire T is marked. Furthermore the lifter 12 is lowered and the tire T is held by the holding parts 20 and inverted. By making the lifter 12 rise up then, the lateral part TB on the other side of the tire T is marked. According to this constitution, both of the lateral parts of the tire can be marked excellently by the marking equipment 10 having the simple mechanism wherein only one marking part 18 is provided.
