    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of molding an insert component by welding, which ensures that the insert component is welded to a blow molded body without an unwelded portion arising on the peripheral edges of the insert component along its thickness direction.
      SOLUTION: The method of molding an insert component by welding is for welding a blow molded body to the insert component 3 set in a mold 7. The molding surface 7a of the mold 7 is made higher than the surface 6a of the welded portion of the insert component 3, and the overall surface of a peripheral edge 6b of the insert component 3 along its thickness direction and the parison 11 of the blow molded body are welded together without a gap between them. A preheating plate 8 made of a high heat conducting material that serves as a portion of the molding surface 7a of the mold 7 is disposed near the welded portions between the parison 11 and the peripheral edge 6b of the insert component 3 along the thickness direction, and a heat insulating plate 9 is provided between the preheating plate 8 and the mold 7.
