    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool post arranging device which accurately aligns a feed axis by a simple method, and in particular, greatly and independently adjusts mutually orthogonal two directions x, y. SOLUTION: An adjusting means is provided between a base plate 1 and a carrier 2 in order to adjust the carrier 2 with respect to the base plate 1 in the mutually orthogonal two directions. The carrier 2 is connected to the base plate 1 by bearings which allow a swivelling motion of the carrier 2 about the swivelling axis crossing a slide axis and a tilting motion crossing the swivelling motion. An eccentric adjusting device 6 is provided as an adjusting means for the tilting motion. The eccentric adjusting device includes: an adjusting eccentric ring 7 supported by the carrier 2 or the base plate 1; and a fastening device which connects the carrier 2 to the base plate 1 and is loaded by a spring.     • PURPOSE:To enable positioning of the whole outer periphery of a work as faces to be machined by holding one top portion of one end of a cubic work and the other to portion existing on the opposite angle of the formed top portion. CONSTITUTION:A holding device 2 holds one top portion c of an angle of a face to be machined B of a cubic work W and the other top portion e existing on the opposite angle of the top portion c on an angle of a face to be machined D opposed to the face to be machined B. And the holding device 2 is rotatable with a diagonal line connecting both the top portions c, e as a center. A rotary indexing mechanism 3 rotates the cubic work W retained by the retaining device 2 with the diagonal line connecting the top portions c, e as a center to index faces to be machined A, B, C, D, E and F sequentially. That is, all the faces to be machined of the cubic work can easily be indexed without changing arrangements.
