摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a prior art of a golf ball by further adding alternatives of golf balls affecting flying, touch, and performance of a ball.SOLUTION: A golf ball may include a first pole, a second pole, and a seam disposed between the first and second poles. On a surface of the ball, a dimple is formed as a pattern including a plurality of repetitive sectors around each pole of the ball. One half sector of the ball and the other half sector of the ball are shifted in a rotation direction with the seam as a boundary. Further, each separate sector includes a symmetric line, where a dimple pattern of one half sector forms a mirror image of the other half, with the symmetric line as a boundary. Further, various different dimple types may be disposed on the surface of the golf ball, for example within the above sector. Further another aspect provided relates to distinctive features of various layers of a multi-piece golf ball, and a method of manufacturing a golf ball having at least some of the distinctive features described above.

Difference between hardness Hs of the surface of the core 4 and the hardness H(12.5) is 10.0 or greater. Difference between the hardness Hs and the hardness Ho is 22.0 or greater. There is no zone in the core 4 where hardness is reduced from the center point toward the surface. The rubber composition of the core 4 contains 2-naphthalene thiol. The specific gravity SG2 of the intermediate layer 6 is greater than the specific gravity SG1 of the core 4. Shore D hardness H3 of the cover is greater than Shore D hardness H2 of the intermediate layer.
