    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration device of a measuring device and a calibration method capable of easily performing calibration on a measuring device after assembly without being restricted by operation circumstances to ensure high accuracy measurement.SOLUTION: The calibration device of a measuring device 101 which measures an insertion force and a tensile force of a linear body 11 acting in a longitudinal direction thereof based on a predetermined correlation. The calibration device fixes a stopper 104 for fixing the linear body 11 at one end port 3 and an insertion/pull-out drive unit 105, which drives the linear body 11 to move in an insertion/extraction direction at the other end port 4, so as not change the relative position with respect to a sensor body 2. A force detector 109 is positioned between the insertion/pull-out drive unit 105 and the linear body 11 to measure a force in the insertion/extraction direction applied to the linear body 11 by the insertion/pull-out drive unit 105.
