    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a helmet capable of obtaining an optimum defogging effect of a shield plate and ventilation effect in the helmet according to temperature and moisture, and obtainable of extremely effective ventilation by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This helmet 2 has freely openable, a first exhaust passage making the top of the shield plate 4 as the starting point, an aeration passage making a zone opposing to frontal part and an upper position of the prescribed starting point as the end point and a second exhaust passage making a zone opposing to occipital part and the backside of the prescribed end point as the starting point. An exhaust vent forming member 98 installed with an exhaust vent composing a part of the exhaust passage, a shutter member 97 opening and shutting the prescribed exhaust vent, an air flow deflecting member 96 having a curved surface deflecting air flow to alienate the air flow of the end point of the prescribed exhaust passage from this end, point are installed on the helmet body 2 and the prescribed exhaust vent forming member 98 is positioned by the prescribed air flow deflecting member 96.

    • PURPOSE:To reinforce the binding strength of a shielding plate by engaging at least two places of the shielding plate in an installing and removing position of the shielding plate with one locking member. CONSTITUTION:A concentric supporting cylinder 10 and circular arc guide protruding walls 16 are formed in an installing substrate 7 secured to a hat body 1. The first notch 12 in which the first engaging pawl 35 protrusively installed in a pivot shaft 33 of the shielding plate 4 goes in and out and the first guide groove 15 engaging through the notch are formed in the supporting cylinder 10 and the second notch 17 in which the second engaging pawl 36 of the shielding plate 4 goes in and out and the second guide groove 18 engaging through the notch are formed in the guide protruding walls 16. A locking lever 19 pivoted on the installing substrate 7 is equipped with the first and second locking pawls 23 and 24 engaging and disengaging from the first and second engaging pawls 35 and 36 according to the locking and unlocking positions thereof.
