    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a piston rod in a contracted state by using a holding structure till a prefilled actuator for a vehicle is mounted on a vehicle body, and to widely use the holding structure for many actuators having different shapes of housings. SOLUTION: A holding means 10 is constituted of engagement projecting parts 13a and 13a, a first holding tool 30 and a second holding tool 31. The first holding tool 30 is provided with a first lateral band 30a, a second lateral band 30d and leg pieces 30b and 30b for connection. The leg pieces 30b for connection are provided with first engagement parts 30f. The second holding tool 31 is provided with a second engagement part 31e. A substantial semicircle on a lower side of a vehicle body on a coming in/out side of the piston rod 25 of a cylinder body 13 is embraced/held by the first lateral band 30a. Folded parts of the first lateral band 30a and the leg pieces 30b and 30b for connection are locked on the engagement projecting parts 13a and 13a. An upper side of the vehicle body of the cylinder body 13 is held engageably/ detachably in a peripheral direction by the second lateral band 30d. The first holding tool 30 is mounted on the cylinder body 13. The second holding tool 31 is mounted on the piston rod 25.
