摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breathing assisting device used for a patient who cannot breathe naturally or is unsuitable for it regardless of wearing a respirator, and a method for stabilizing irregular aspiration occurring in aspiration of outside air.
SOLUTION: This breathing assisting device 1 includes at least one auxiliary passage 8 which is tubular, forms a main passage 5 and is connected to a breathing enabling gas source 25. The device further includes: a deflecting means 36 for deflecting a volume part of breathing enabling gas for the auxiliary passage 8 before entering the auxiliary passage 8; and an aspiration means 38 which aspirates ambient air and is driven by the deflected breathing enabling gas part. The aspirated ambient air mixed with the deflection part of the breathing enabling gas is carried to the main passage 5 between the distal end 16 of the auxiliary passage 8 and the distal end 7 of the main passage 5.

The membrane 13 is inserted on the outer surface 2E of the hollow body 2 and can be interposed between the abutment member 11 and a part of the patient on which the abutment member 11 abuts. The hollow body 2 includes communication ports 14 facing to the membrane 13, in order to enable the breathing gas 7 to pass from the chamber 3 to an intermediate space E formed between the membrane 13 and the outer surface 2E of the body 2.
