    • PURPOSE:To obtain a homogeneous cylindrical body by cooling the cylindrical body suddenly and uniformly, by a method wherein the extruded cylindrical body is led within a cooling liquid tank through a sizer, led further into a liquid feeding cylinder mounted within a cooling liquid tank and cooled by a jet flow jetted through a slit on the circumference of an inner wall of the liquid feeding cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Resin melted by heating by an extruding machine 1 is extruded through a die 3 by making the same into a cylindrical body 6, led within a cooling liquid tank 7a, which is filled with a cooling liquid, through a sizer 9, further led within a liquid feeding cylinder 13, the cooling liquid is jetted through a slit 15 provided on the circumference of an inner wall of the liquid feeding cylinder 13 by sending the cooling liquid into the liquid feeding cylinder 13 through a pressing-in port 14 and the cylindrical body 6 is cooled through Coanda effect by flowing the cooling liquid within a gap 16 at high speed. Then the cylindrical body 6 is led within a cooling liquid tank 7b through a liquid sealing device 19, taken off further by a take-off device 28 through the liquid sealing devices 19, 19 and the transparent cylindrical body 6 is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a plastic oriented pipe with a 'play' for shrinkage and permit to effect efficient thermal fixing by a method wherein the plastic oriented pipe is inflated so as to enlarge the diameter thereof and is heated, thereafter, the pipe is shrinked to a state provided with a smaller diameter than the initial diameter thereof, then, is cooled. CONSTITUTION:When a plastic oriented pipe 1 is fitted to a cooling shaft 2, the shaft 2 is inserted into a heating cylinder 3 and compressed air is blown into the pipe through an air passageway 5, the pipe is inflated and is heated while being adhered to the inner surface of the main body 11 of the cylinder heated previously by a heater 13. This condition is kept for a predetermined period of time, thereafter, the compressed air in the pipe determined period of time, thereafter, the compressed air in the pipe 1 is extracted, then, the pipe is shrinked and is cooled while being adhered to the outer wall of the cooling shaft 2, being cooled by cooling liquid, whereby thermal fixing of the pipe is finished. Thereafter, the cooling shaft 2, to which the pipe is fitted, is removed from the heating cylinder 3, the compressed air is sent into the pipe again to inflate the pipe and the pipe is removed from the cooling shaft 2 whereby the plastic oriented pipe, resistant to high temperature and made of polyethylene terephthalate, may be obtained.
