SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 18 is provided with a crankshaft 49 supporting the halfway part in an axial direction to a crankcase 43 by bearings 45 to 48 and a wrapping transmission means 90 association connecting a valve system 81 internally provided in a protruded end part of a cylinder 50 to the crankshaft 49. This wrapping transmission means 90 is provided with a drive rotary ring 91 mounted in the crankshaft 49, driven rotary ring 92 mounted in the valve system 81 to be internally provided in the protruded end part of the cylinder 50, and a wrapping transmission belt 93 wrapping connected to the drive/driven rotary ring 91, 92. A running drive means is connected to be associated with one end part 49a of the crankshaft 49, while the drive rotary ring 91 is mounted in the other end part 49b of the crankshaft 49.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle capable of suppressing complication of a mechanical mechanism for controlling driving of an engine by an occupant's operation.
      SOLUTION: A snowmobile 1 (the vehicle) includes a handle bar 11a including a grip part 11b gripped by the occupant during steering, a TPS 23a detecting an opening of a throttle valve 23, an operation part 30 disposed in a neighborhood of the grip part 11b of the handle bar 1a and operated by the occupant during control of driving of the engine 4, a pressure sensor 37 detecting whether or not there was operation input by the operation part 30 by the occupant, an APS 38 electrically detecting an amount of operation of the operation part 30 by the occupant, and an ECU 26 controlling driving of the engine on the basis of detection signals (results) of the TPS 23a, the pressure sensor 37, and the APS 38. The pressure sensor 37 and the APS 38 are disposed in a neighborhood of the grip part 11b of the handle bar 11a.

The ECU 26 is configured to carry out control of the valve driven motor 23b on the basis of the accelerator aperture if the accelerator aperture is larger than a dead zone aperture. The ECU 26 is configured to judge presence or absence of detection of operation input of a thumb throttle 31 by the occupant by a pressure sensor 37 in the dead zone region.
