    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost deflection yoke which has a small number of parts and assembling man-hours, while having deflection correction characteristics equal to or better than that of a conventional one, in one provided with a saturable reactor.
      SOLUTION: The saturable reactor is provided with saturable cores 1a, 1b, impedance control coils 2a, 2b connected with a horizontal deflection coil and wound around the saturated cores 1a, 1b, a magnet 5 of giving a magnetic bias to the saturated cores 1a, 1b, a magnetic core 3 forming a closed magnetic circuit 6, and a saturation control coil 4 through which a vertical deflection current flows and wound around the magnetic core 3. The direction of a vertical deflection saturation controlling magnetic field generated by the saturation controlling coil 4 is made in the same direction at the time of both the top side deflection of a screen and the bottom side deflection.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke capable of correcting a YH cross misconvergence without causing VCR narrow misconvergence.
      SOLUTION: A correction circuit 15A consists of: first to fourth magnetic field correction coils 1 to 4; and a 3-terminal variable resistor 20, and is configured such that a series circuit comprising the first and the second magnetic field correction coils 1, 2 is connected in parallel with a series circuit of the fourth and the third magnetic field correction coils 4, 3 connected to two respective fixed terminals of the 3-terminal variable resistor 20, the moving terminal T1 is connected to a connecting point P of the first and second magnetic field correction coils 1, 2, vertical deflection coils 12, 13 are connected in series with the first and second magnetic field correction coils 1, 2, the first and third magnetic field correction coils 1, 3 are wound on a first core 14A, the second and fourth magnetic field correction coils 2, 4 are wound on a second core 14B, and the first and second cores 14A, 14B are placed opposite to each other while sandwiching a neck part 51c.
