    • PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable detecting method executing control corresponding to the degree of damage by detecting the intensity of earthquake motion as a speed response corresponding to vibration energy included in a structure in addition to the maximum acceleration. CONSTITUTION:An operating part 1 is constituted so as to satisfy a prescribed equation of motion in a single-degree-of-freedom vibration system, input the acceleration of earthquake vibration as an input signal and output a speed response as an output signal. The speed response signal of the single-degree-of-freedom vibration system is momentally found out by inputting an acceleration signal of earthquake vibration obtained by an accelerometer 5 to the operating parts 1 or the speed response signal of the single-degree-of-freedom vibration system having a different inherent period is found out at a real time speed or a speed approximate to said real time speed by inputting the acceleration signal of earthquake vibration based upon the common accelerometer 5 to the proper number of operating parts 1 having an equal damping constant and different inherent periods respectively. At the generation of earthquake, the index of vibration energy included in a structure can be obtained from the speed response signal.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable detecting method corresponding to the degree of damage by detecting the intensity of earthquake motion as a speed response corresponding to the vibration energy included in a structure in addition to the maximum acceleration corresponding to force to be applied to the structure. CONSTITUTION:Each operating part 1 is formed so as to satisfy a prescribed equation of motion in a single-degree-of-freedom vibration system, input the acceleration of earthquake vibration as an input signal and output a speed response as an output signal. The speed response signal of the single-degree-of-freedom vibration system is momentally found out by inputting an acceleration signal of earthquake vibration obtained by an accelerometer 5 to the operating parts 1 or the speed response signal of the single-degree-of-freedom vibration system having different inherent period is momentally found out by inputting the acceleration signal of earthquake vibration based upon the common accelerometer 5 to the proper number of operating parts 1 having different inherent period respectively. Thereby, the index of vibration energy included in a structure at the generation of earthquake is obtained from the speed response signal, the index and the acceleration signal are compared with respective set values, and when the acceleration of earthquake vibration exceeds a prescribed value or when the index exceeds a prescribed value, a control signal is generated.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable detecting method executing control corresponding to the degree of damage by detecting the intensity of earthquake motion as a speed response corresponding to vibration energy included in a structure in addition to the maximum acceleration. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd integrating parts 2, 3 are successively connected to the output side of an adding part 1 for calculating the sum of plural input signals. An acceleration signal of an accelerometer 4 is inputted to the adding part 1 and a signal obtained by multiplying the output signal of the integrating part 2 by twice the product of an inherent angular frequency and a damping constant and a signal obtained by multiplying the output signal of the integrating part 3 by the square of the inherent angular frequency are inputted to the adding part 1 through multiplying parts 5, 6 respectively. Consequently, a prescribed equation of motion in a single-degree- of-freedom vibration system can be satisfied and a speed response signal is obtained as the output signal of the integrating part 2. The method makes it possible to obtain the index of the vibration energy included in a structure at the generation of earthquake and various systems are controlled on the basis of the index, so that control having high correlation with the degree of damage can be attained.
