    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide semiconductor hetero particles including two different kinds of semiconductor particles and exhibiting a photocatalyst function in a comparatively wide pH range without using a solution type electronic mediator.SOLUTION: Semiconductor hetero particles include first semiconductor particles 2a, second semiconductor particles 2b, metallic particles 3, and an organic group 1. The potential of the conduction band lower end of the first semiconductor particles 2a is more negative than the potential of the valence electron band upper end of the second semiconductor particles 2b. The metallic particles 3 are joined to either one of the first and second semiconductor particles 2a, 2b, and the organic group 1 is bonded to the other of the first and second semiconductor particles 2a, 2b. The organic group 1 has a metal bond functional group, and the metal bond functional group is bonded to the metallic particles 3.
