SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner contains an electron-donating coloring compound, an electron-accepting color developing agent, and a polyester binder resin having a weight average molecular weight Mw of 6,000 or larger and 25,000 or smaller, and is decolored by heating. The electrophotographic toner further contains at least one of fine particles having an average primary particle diameter of 50 nm or larger and 200 nm or smaller. Furthermore, the coverage of the electrophotographic toner with the fine particles having an average primary particle diameter of 50 nm or larger and 200 nm or smaller is 30% or lower per one of fine particles, and the coverage of the toner with all of the fine particles contained in the toner is 50% or higher and 150% or lower. The toluene-insoluble content is 10 mass% or more and 40 mass% or less. The decolorization temperature controlling agent is decolored by heating. The electrophotographic toner further contains at least one of fine particles having an average primary particle diameter of 50 nm or larger and 200 nm or smaller. The coverage that the fine particles having an average primary particle diameter of 50 nm or larger and 200 nm or smaller cover toner particles of the electrophotographic toner is 30% or less per one of fine particles, and the coverage that all of the fine particles cover the toner particles is 50% or more and 150% or less.
