    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding machine capable of stably detecting the abnormality of a squeeze pin.
      SOLUTION: A die-casting machine DC1 having a squeeze pin 75, which pressurizes molten metal in a cavity C, repeats a molding cycle comprising: a pressurizing step of pressurizing the molten metal in a cavity C by advancing a squeeze pin 75 in the state that the cavity C is filled with the molten metal as shown in the figure; and a spraying step of advancing the squeeze pin 75 in the state that the cavity C is not filled with the molten metal and performing at least one of lubrication and cooling of the squeeze pin. In the spraying step, the stroke of the squeeze pin 75 is detected, and based on the comparison of the detected result with a reference value, the abnormality of the squeeze pin 75 is detected.
