    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing trouble of a fixing device due to an increase in temperature.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes image forming means, fixing means, temperature control means, and operation control means. The image forming means forms images on sheets with discoloration materials discolored by application of heat at a temperature higher than a specified temperature. The fixing means heats the images at a fixing temperature in a range from a lower limit temperature to an upper limit temperature lower than the specified temperature to fix the images on the sheets. The temperature control means controls the fixing means to be the fixing temperature. The operation control means controls execution of image stabilization processing in a waiting period until which the fixing means reaches the fixing temperature.
