      SOLUTION: In the welding equipment which is moved by a welding head 1 mounted with a welding torch 2 and having wheels 3 to a welding direction, the welding torch 2 is arranged at the front in the moving direction of the wheels 3, a cooling caterpillar 4 is fitted to the wheels 3, and the weld heat-affected zone of a base material directly after melting is indirectly cooled by the cooling caterpillar 4, so as to reduce residual stress. The cooling caterpillar 4 is fitted over the two wheels 3 located before and after the moving direction of the welding head 1. Each wheel 3 has a hollow structure to flow a cooling medium.

A cooling gas nozzle 5 is installed in a manner surrounding the shielding gas nozzle 3, with a cooling gas passage 5a formed inside, and jets a cooling gas 6 from a cooling gas jetting port 5b in the direction of the metallic material 9. The cooling gas 6 blown out from the cooling gas jetting port 5b of the cooling gas nozzle 5 cools the zone near the weld zone 13 of the metallic material 9.

At this time, rotation is made in a cycloid curve since the axis of the planetary gear 18 is eccentric with that of a holder 16. Also, only when the electrode 20 is installed just above a target 1 with the rotation of the sleeve 12, the first gear 10 is engaged with the third gear 15, and the electrode 20 for boring is adjusted so that it may be changed to the one for threading in order. Therefore, only driving of the second motor 9 makes it possible to change the electrode 20.
